Consortium Member Rate: Refers to members of local SHRM chapters that we have entered in to an agreement to offer our discounted member rate to their chapter members (Loudoun SHRM, Fauquier Culpeper SHRM). If an ineligible individual registers with this rate, they will be billed the difference of the applicable non-member rate.
Student Non Member Rate: To support individuals enrolled full-time in a HR related degree program, a discounted registration fee is available for our breakfast meetings.

Diversity advocate Verna Myers said “Diversity does not stick without inclusion.” When you focus on inclusion in the workplace it will force you to look at equity; and then, if you do those two well, diversity is bound to follow. We will talk about why inclusion is the most important step in truly understanding diversity, discuss practical solutions that have worked to increase belonging in the workplace, and bring courageous conversations in and create brave spaces to continue to build equity and diversity. We will cover areas of focus, inclusion nudges, barriers and challenges typically seen, and the role HR plays. Learn to challenge your assumptions and understand bias and behaviors. Come prepared to step out of your comfort zone. This conversation is relevant to all organizations no matter where they are based and who they hire. This is a journey that the organization and its citizens need to commit to -- not just see as an end goal of meeting a certain quota or diversity goal. Garima Gupta has been working as a Human Resources leader for over 15 years across industries and geographies (India, China, Australia, Sub-Saharan Africa, USA, UK and Central American countries). Over the years, she's had robust conversations about the future of work, creating a better employee experience and investing in talent. Garima has helped organizations (especially non-profits) that are scaling up to rethink their culture and become more open to other culture additions as they grow in new geographies.
