SHRM Virginia and DC’s State Council recently awarded Prince William SHRM its prestigious Best Practices IMPACT Award for the following category: Community Enhancement.
The Best Practices IMPACT award recognizes chapters for their major accomplishments, strategic activities, and tactical initiatives that elevate the profession of human resources.
The Award can be earned at six levels: Improved Certified Members, Membership (Dual-Member in SHRM and the State Council) Professionals, Advancing the HR Profession, Community Enhancement, and Thrive. Each level has a set of requirements and accomplishments that must be met. Prince William SHRM will receive a logo to display on its website, and information to share with its members about the significance of this award.
Prince William SHRM received this award for ‘Strengthening HR Through Volunteer Engagement and Leadership Development’ by successfully revitalizing volunteer participation and expanding leadership opportunities to enhance the HR profession locally. Through the creation of multiple active committees and tailored volunteer roles, we significantly boosted member involvement and identified emerging leaders for key positions. This initiative strategically supports SHRM’s mission to empower people and workplaces by developing critical skills in strategic planning, collaboration, and communication. As a result, we established a dynamic and inclusive volunteer pipeline that drives Chapter growth and amplifies HR’s impact within the community.
